About Hook Garden Design
Led by Andrew Hook — a trained product designer and former professional photographer — Hook Garden Design creates bespoke gardens that feel rooted, balanced, and beautifully understated.
Andrew’s early career in photography helped shape his keen eye for light, structure, and atmosphere. Today, that same visual sensibility informs every garden he designs — with a focus on natural materials, quiet detail, and planting that evolves through the seasons.
Over two and a half years, Andrew lived and worked across South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and North America — including a year spent on the Galápagos Islands. These immersive experiences with wild and ecologically rich landscapes laid the foundation for his design approach: observational, responsive, and deeply respectful of place.
With a degree in Product Design, Andrew brings a clear, structured process to every project — combining creativity with practical problem-solving. He designs gardens not just to be seen, but to be lived in: spaces that encourage movement, reflection, and connection to nature.
Now based in Nottinghamshire, Hook Garden Design offers thoughtful, site-sensitive garden design for clients across the region and beyond.
